Hello Friend Newsletter in EnglishNewsletter auf Deutsch

Soon it will be time once again to experience Germany in the summer – to get to know the country, the people and life in a German host family. Now with Potsdam, this summer there is one more destination for our juniors to choose from. With the world famous Sanssouci Castle, the New Palace and the Babelsberg Film Park, in which international blockbusters have been filmed, Potsdam has much to offer. And the bustling city of Berlin is only a short 40-minute train ride away. With all this, it is never boring in Potsdam!

Junior homestay course in Potsdam The modern instructional facilities offer ideal conditions for effective learning. In addition, our experienced teaching staff brings lessons to life with many contemporary topics. On four of the afternoons after German class, our participants, together with their new friends from around the world, can take part in adventurous field trips around the area, discover local museums, play beach volleyball or simply let off steam at the swimming pool.

During the period between June and August, in addition to Potsdam, we offer our summer courses for juniors with host family accommodation at five other locations. There is one in Aschaffenburg, for instance, which is a city close to Frankfurt am Main with a magnificent renaissance castle. Summer courses also take place in the Hessian capital of Wiesbaden, in the Bavarian city of Augsburg, as well as in historic Nuremberg. And don’t forget, our summer school for youth in the Rhenish metropolis of Cologne.

Effective immediately we will be able to offer course participants Standard Hotel accommodations at our Frankfurt location. It is also quick and easy to get to the center of the city from the hotel. One special feature of this new hotel is the so-called SkyBar on its most upper level, where you can enjoy an unforgettable view over the breathtaking skyline of the Main river metropolis. Why Hamburg?

Fanny from France: “I think I have understood the German way of living, which will help me a lot in my studies. I am glad to be able to tell everyone that Germany is far away from all the World War II stereotypes we unfortunately usually think of. I felt welcomed and secure here. I’ll bring home a lot of pictures, but the best souvenirs that I'll take back home with me will be the memory of all the people that I’ve met and the amazing intercultural exchange that has taken place here. My stay here has opened my eyes to many things and made me want to come back here one day!” Read more
