Hello Friend Newsletter in EnglishNewsletter auf Deutsch

Summer is here! For those who would like to use vacation time for studying and career planning, our University Summer Courses are exactly right. Our German teachers together with lecturers from the International School of Management (ISM) actually developed the concept and tailored it especially for the needs and requirements of international students studying in Germany.

HSK 2013 The German courses are complemented with seminars and workshops that cover societal, cultural and economically relevant topics. The topics are also corresponding to the selected course location. You can choose your course location at the time of booking: Will it be Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg or Munich?

The program takes place in all course locations both in July and August and lasts four weeks. It consists of 20 German lessons per week, as well as four weekly expert seminars and/or workshop lessons, in which students develop a major written project. Participants can receive 6 valuable ECTS Credit Points per course.

Rounded out by an extensive free time program, the University Summer Courses make it possible to get to know Germany holistically through their well-balanced combination of language course, seminars, workshops and culture. Civilization and cultural theory become tangible, newfound German knowledge is practically tested.

Frankfurt reaches
for the stars

On the 25th and 26th of May, Frankfurt wants to reach up high once again: After a six year hiatus, Europe’s tallest and most beautiful skyline will once again be celebrated. At the Skyscraper Festival there are awesome attractions both on and between Frankfurt’s skyscrapers – live music, theater and breathtaking stunts. Here you can see pictures of the last Skyscraper Festival in order to get an idea of what awaits this year’s visitors. Those who reserve a ticket early can even climb the skyscrapers. More information around the festival and photos can be found here.

At the Study Travel Magazine (STM) Star Award Ceremony 2012 in London, did deutsch-institut was chosen as the best German language school for the fifth time and was at the same time inducted into the STM Super Star Hall of Fame. By way of thanks, did deutsch-institut gave all the guests a gift certificate for a two-week German course. Claire Twyman, editorial assistant for the English Study Travel Magazine, took this invitation seriously, and tells of her experience of two weeks German course at did deutsch-institut Munich and her newly formed impressions.

Why Munich?

Marta from Slovenia: “did deutsch-institut offers an intensive course with flexibility in the course materials. This is why I decided to choose this school. I have known Munich for many years, because it is not far from my home – it is a really wonderful city! I love that there is always something going on here. Of course, you have to try a Grillhax’n and Kartoffelknödel (grilled joint and potato dumpling) – I think it is typical for Germany, to have meat for every meal. It was cool to ride with students of the university riding school through the English Garden.” Read more
