Become a fan of did deutsch–institut on Facebook! That way you will always be up–to–date on what is hap­pen­ing with us and know which new offers we have in store. You learn Ger­man in Ger­ma­ny; get to know the lan­guage and the coun­try first­hand. Be­fore you ar­rive at the in­sti­tute, you can make con­tact through Face­book with other stu­dents who will be study­ing at the same lo­ca­tion. Get to know your fel­low stu­dents now, or check out pic­tures of other par­ti­ci­pants who have al­ready been with us pre­vi­ous­ly.

You’d like to find out which free–time activities are available in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg or Munich? did deutsch–institut posts current outings for all locations on Facebook. You can ar­range to get to­gether with other stu­dents from your course lo­ca­tion, ex­change ideas with stu­dents from other lo­ca­tions and get to know friends from all over the world – all through Facebook. Ex­pe­ri­ence more of Ger­many and en­rich yourself through the ex­pe­ri­ences of others.

When you set out on your journey home, your luggage is full: you have your newly acquired German knowl­edge, new im­pres­sions of Ger­man cul­ture and friends from around the world! Re­gard­less how far apart you and your new friends are across the globe – Face­book is the per­fect plat­form to stay in con­tact. Find out how things are with others back in their home coun­tries and prac­tice your Ger­man with them. Maybe you’ll arrange a meeting on­line again in 2012!

Get to know Berlin on the mov­ie screen! In Unknown, Liam Neeson plays Martin Harris who falls into a coma after a car acci­dent and wakes up with com­plete memory loss. Some­one else has taken on his iden­ti­ty – even his own wife doesn’t seem to rec­og­nize him. Dur­ing the at­tempt to prove his iden­ti­ty, he stum­bles upon a mur­der plot in­volv­ing pro­fes­sion­al hit men and gets in­vol­ved on all fronts. The chase through Ber­lin begins. Read more

6th award nomination

The coveted LTM Star Award in the category Ger­man Lan­gu­age School has al­rea­dy gone to did deutsch–ins­ti­tut three times in re­cent years. After win­ning in 2006, 2007 and 2009, and thanks to another nom­ina­tion this year, our team is ho­ping to again gain the top prize in 2011. The Star Awards are given out year­ly to mem­bers of the in­ter­na­tio­nal lan­gu­age tra­vel in­dus­try and are con­si­dered the most sig­ni­fi­cant honor of this busi­ness sector. Read more

Why Frankfurt?

The twins Itay and Itamar Ber­ger from Israel: I found the ex­cur­sion to the ob­ser­va­tion plat­form on the sky­scrap­er called Main­tower the best! I really like the opera and the river­side mu­se­ums. But go­ing to the bars and res­tau­rants, or to the movies, is al­so lots of fun. As sou­ve­nirs, I’m taking home a case of apple sprit­zer and Haribo can­dies. My sum­ma­tion of the time in Frank­furt: It was fun, it is fun, and hope­ful­ly it will al­ways be fun! Read more
LTM Star Awards 2006, 2007 and 2009

For the third time — following the years 2006 and 2007 — did deutsch-institut has been awarded the LTM Star Award German Language School 2009.

GfdS German Language Society Since 1990 all diploma exams of did deutsch-institut are under the control of the German Language Society (Gesellschaft für deutsche Sprache, GfdS). Together with the GfdS, did deutsch-institut has developed a national and internationally recognized diploma examination.
TestDaF Examination The did deutsch-institutes in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich are licensed to administer the examination TestDaF — a university language examination which is required in order to be accepted for study at a German university.
Member of EAQUALS The quality standards of did deutsch-institutes in Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich have been controlled regularly and for many years by EAQUALS — the leading European Association for Quality Language Services.
WYSE Travel Confederation Since 1979 did deutsch-institut is a member of the Federation of International Youth Travel Organizations FIYTO. In 2006, FIYTO and the International Student Travel Confederation (ISTC) merged to form the World Youth Student and Educational (WYSE) Travel Confederation, a 550 member organisation representing the global community of youth travel, student travel, cultural exchange and international education specialists.
ALTO Association of Language Travel Organisations ALTO — the Association of Language Travel Organisations is the only premium forum joining leading language travel agents, schools, and national associations into one global community. As a member did deutsch-institut adheres to the ALTO Charter, Members' Guarantees of Quality, and other guidelines issued by the association.
