Hello Friend Newsletter in EnglishNewsletter auf Deutsch

In Germany, it is impossible to miss Christmas – the advent calendar is counting down the remaining days until the big celebration. And not only children love this calendar filled with chocolate – even our did deutsch-institut students in the Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg und Munich institutes are excited every day to find out what is hiding behind each little door.

Advent calendar 2013 In order to make the wait until Christmas a little more enjoyable, each day, from December 1 – 24, you can open one of the little doors on our advent calendar to discover a special surprise.

Each day there is an awesome gift certificate to discover – for example, it might be for a free week of courses, price reductions, free upgrades and much more – but we don’t want to give everything away just now… Each uncovered gift certificate is good just for that one calendar day. So this means, those who want to profit from this offer must stick with it and decide quickly!

Those who come to Germany during the time of advent must not miss visiting the German Christmas markets. In Berlin, there are a multitude of Christmas markets as multifaceted and varied as the city itself. The Christmas market in Frankfurt, on the historic Römerberg central square, is one of the most tradition-rich markets in the country. In Hamburg, there is a parade at the market on each of the four Sundays in advent, and at the Christkindlmarkt in Munich, letters for the Christ child are accepted and answered.

Why Hamburg?

Hyunsue from South Korea: "I really like the fact that, at did deutsch-institut, so many different courses are offered in so many different locations. At first, I wanted to learn German in Munich. But because I live in Seoul, the capital of Korea, I wanted to get to know something completely different. Of course, Munich is completely different, but Hamburg is close to the sea. The buildings here look so exotic, very classic and wonderful. I will never forget the wonderful time I spent in the city of Hamburg!” Read more
